The Almshouse Charities

Introduction

The origins of The Drapers’ Company are rooted in mutual help and support. Over the years this has developed into a wide range of charitable activities as the Company has been entrusted with numerous bequests, gifts and legacies. Many of these endowments have been amalgamated so as to reduce administration costs and rationalise charitable giving.

The Company is currently Trustee of 9 grant making trusts,
3 almshouse charities and 1 investment pooling scheme.
